Nation Award Committee consisting of eleven artists with the Kossuth State Awards. The award is given to provide appropriate living conditions for personalities with high artistic accomplishment and reputation.
Exhibition of Imre Makovecz in Kazan
The lifework exhibition of Imre Makovecz entitled Connecting Earth and Sky arrived at its final station of Kazan Kremlin, the chief historic citadel of Tatarstan and can be seen until 10 March. The travelling exhibition arrived after several stations in Russian, including Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg. The travelling exhibition has been received with great interest from the part of both the public and the architectural profession.
The Garden of Beauty
A unique and celebratory exhibition of Hungarian weaver artist Fodorné László Mária, Master of Folk Art and regular member of HAA can be seen at Vigadó, the centre of HAA from 10 February 2019 until 21 April 2019.
The memorial exhibition of Sándor Badacsonyi
The memorial exhibition presenting the works of graphic artist and painter Sándor Badacsonyi (1949–2016) and entitled Gulliver in the Garden is offering a selection of the artist's oeuvre, which abounds in works made with a wide variety of different techniques. The curator of the display is fine artist Péter Stefanovits, the chair of the Section of Fine Arts of HAA and the exhibition was opened by art historian Lajos Lóska on 6 February 2019. The exhibition can be seen until 21 April 2019.
New national cultural venue in Hungary!
A new cultural location opened its gates on February 15th in Budapest: the new building of the National Dance Theatre which is located in Millenáris Park. Equipped with the most modern theatre equipment and containing interesting architectural elements, the building awaits those with a love for dance with two auditoriums and two studios as well as several rehearsal rooms to help professional dancers practice.
