Textile artist Éva Mészáros passed away
Éva Mészáros, a textile artist who was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Hungarian Republic and a full member of HAA, died on 13 July 2023 at the age of ninety-one. As an excellent teacher he passed on the best of his knowledge, since she was constantly involved in the training of new fashion designers. Throughout his life, she fought for Hungarian folk art not to be lost, and for people to take it for granted that the memory of our folk heritage can be worn on our clothing. The passing of Éva Mészáros is regarded by HAA as losing one of its own.
