Imre Benkő's subjective documentarism

The exhibition entitled True Visions in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle), the institution of HAA is presenting six decades of art work of photographer, photojournalist and regular member of HAA, Imre Benkő through two hundred and fifty, mostly black-and-white photographs. The exhibition, curated by Zsuzsanna Tulipán, can be viewed between 23 February and 7 April.

The exhibition of József Szurcsik in Kunsthalle

The exhibition of József Szurcsik, a Munkácsy Award winner visual artist and a regular member of HAA opened on 29 February 29 in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle) entitled The Magician's Garden, looking back on the past forty years. György Szegő, artistic director of Műcsarnok drew attention to the painting entitled Standing Self-Portrait during the press tour. The curator is Mária Kondor-Szilágyi and the exhibition can be seen until 7 April 2024.

Architect György Vadász passed away

György Vadász, who passed away at the age of 92 on 3 March 2024, was an architect who won the Kossuth and Ybl Awards, and was a regular member of HAA as well as an Artist of the Nation. His versatile, integrating, balancing work is a value-creating link in the timeline of Hungarian architecture.

Life-work exhibition by tie-dyer Miklós Kovács

The exhibition in Vigadó, the centre of HAA, which can be seen until 28 April 2024, is presenting the life-work of 96-year-old tie-dyer and Artist of the Nation, Miklós Kovács as well as 200 years of artwork by the Kovács Family until the present day.

The outstanding work of Győző Vörös in the Middle East

Jerusalem has been the home of Győző Vörös, a papal gold medalist and Széchenyi Award winner archeologist as well as honorary member of HAA for more than a year now. He lives in the Holy Land with his family, teaches there, and from there manages the affairs of his archaeological mission in Jordan: the excavation of Machaerus, the reconstruction of the citadel, and the inclusion of the Gospel site in the blood stream of international pilgrimages.
