Photo exhibition of HAA's scholarship winners
The exhibition of HAA's scholarship winners entitled Generations that can be seen at Vigadó, the centre of HAA until 25 February 2024, has been organised by HAA's Section of Film and Photography. Visitors can enjoy the rich variety of artworks ranging from emotionally charged portraits through picturesque landscapes to special experimental photographs. In addition to a wide range of different artistic solutions in image creation, the exhibition also includes fine examples of documentary photography.
Dezső Zsigmond is the new Chair of Section of Film and Photography
HAA's Section of Film and Photography elected film director Dezső Zsigmond, a regular member of HAA as its chair for the period from 21 November 2023 to 31 March 2026. His predecessor between 2016 and 2023 was film director Sándor Buglya, a member of the HAA's board.
A fence exhibition opened in honor of Gyula Illyés
Organized by HAA, a tableau exhibition presenting the oeuvre of Gyula Illyés opened on 22 November 2023 in front of HAA's office building. The compilation entitled "Every good literature is a conspiracy against the age" was edited and the text of the panels was written by Gáspár Gróh, literary historian, journalist, corresponding member of HAA. The fence exhibition can be viewed for several months on the Andrássy út side of the public body's office building.
Workshop diary of Imre Kertész presented
The Imre Kertész Institute in Budapest celebrated the 94th anniversary of the birth of Nobel Prize winning writer, Imre Kertész with a special day. On this occasion the author's workshop diary entitled Vázlatok (Sketches), which he kept parallel to the writing of his famous novel, Fatelessness, was presented at a round table discussion.
