Remembrance of 1956
An exhibition displaying artworks in commemoration of the Revolution of 1956 created by those regular members, corresponding members and non-academic members of MMA who specialize on the visual fields of art opened on 19 October and can be seen until 8 January 2017 in the exhibition spaces of the 6th floor of Vigadó.
Leadership of CNAA at MMA
The leadership of the Chinese National Academy of Arts visited MMA on 19 October. From the part of MMA the President, György Fekete, the Secretary-General, Tamás Gergely Kucsera and the member of the presidium were present at the long discussion at the centre of MMA, the Vigadó. From the part of the CNAA the Vice-President, professor Tang Ping and the directors of the institution were present.

For Freedom and Independence: Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, an exhibition was held from 2 to 7 November, 2016 at The Visual Arts Centre in Hong Kong.
Ballet performances in memory of 1956
The Szeged Contemporary Dance Company and the National Dance Theatre introduced themselves jointly in Bulgarian capital, Sofia on 23 October paying homage to the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 with two pieces entitled Dance Suite and Rite. These events in the memorial year has been also supported by MMA.
