Nation Award Committee consisting of eleven artists with the Kossuth State Awards. The award is given to provide appropriate living conditions for personalities with high artistic accomplishment and reputation.
One-Time - joint exhibitions in Kunsthalle
Joint exhibitions can be seen in Kunsthalle, the institution of MMA commemorating the oeuvres of János Blaskó, Jenő Gadányi, Miklós Jakobovits, Gábor Karátson as well as Gyula Bocz, Iván Cerovszki, Sándor Csutoros, Győző Dombay, Elek Lisziák, Károly Ócsai and Béla Szeift. The exhibitions which bear the title One-Time - Separate Ways and Withdrawal at a Time of Consolidation can be seen from 6 December 2017 until 28 January 2018.
Exhibition of sculptor József Palotás
József Palotás has been an active participant of Hungarian contemporary art since 1972, and has extensively worked in all fields of sculptural arts. His exhibition, which is a selection of his works of more than 40 years and which can be seen from 10 November 2017 until 14 January 2018 in Vigadó Gallery, has been organized by MMA's Section of Fine Arts.
Makovecz Centre and Archive
Imre Makovecz, the world-famous Hungarian architect was born on 20 November 1935 and the Center and Archive named after him in Budapest in the 12th district was opened by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on the anniversary of Makovecz's birth after reconstruction work.
At the ceremony György Vashegyi, the new President of MMA greeted those present and then Kristóf Baráti, violinist performed the C major Largo by J. S. Bach.
Dead Poets Society first in Europe on a Hungarian stage
For the first time in Europe, the theatrical version of the Oscar-winning Dead Poets Society was put on stage in Petőfi Theater of Veszprém on 3 November in the direction of Frigyes Funtek and with playing the leading role of John Keating by Pál Oberfrank, member of MMA and director of Petőfi Theater.
