Transmission

On the occasion of the 10th edition of the Transylvanian Days the Fine Art Section of HAA and the Transylvanian Art Centre have organized an exhibition in the building of the Transylvanian Art Centre, entitled Transmission, which opened on 11 October in Sepsiszentgyörgy. The curators of the exhibition are György Jovián (regular member of HAA) and Zoltán Vécsi Nagy (from the Transylvanian Art Center). The exhibition can be seem from 12 October until 22 November.

Mecal Film Festival in Barcelona with Hungary and MMA

Between 14 March and 2 April the Mecal Film Festival in Barcelona is taking place, the international festival of short and animation films, where the guest country is Hungary this time during the three week period when about five thousand short and animation films can be seen. The Spanish and Catalan audience can get to know Hungarian animation through a roll-up exhibition organized by MMA and entitled "Hungarian Animation 100" and through the lectures of Orosz István, Líviusz Gyulai, Béla Ternovszky, Ferenc Rofusz and Ferenc Varsányi.

Memorial year of Zoltán Kodály

The Hungarian government has announced this year as the Kodály memorial year, because the great master died 50 years ago and was born 135 years ago. Throught the year there are going to be several concerts, programs and conferences in memory of Zoltán Kodály and proclaiming his heritage in Hungary as well as over the borders.

Finish tower proposals on display

The Section of Architecture of MMA gave opportunities for young architects with a competition of design proposals for the finish tower of the 2019 World Rowing Championship that is going to be held in Hungary. All the proposals, which are 14 in number, are on display in the centre of the Hungarian Canoe Federation and can be seen until 30 March on working days between 9 am and 4 pm.
