Never realised buildings in Budapest

On the occasion of Budapest's 150th birthday a large-scale exhibition at Vigadó, the centre of HAA with the title "Never Realised Buildings in Budapest" is offering an intriguing perspective of what the Hungarian capital might have looked like in the period of the past 150 years if history took another course with the help of over 170 thought-provoking plans, maquettes, photos and videos.

This year's PLEINAIR was a success

Three weeks, five countries, six nations, twenty artists and forty exhibited works

This year's PLEINAIR'23 - Csongrád International Creative Center was once again organized by the SZÖG - ART Art Association. The Csongrád Art Gallery and Art Colony hosted the town's outstanding art event between 9 and 30 July, and the masters and students meeting was organized for the 12th time as part of this event. The final exhibition, the organization of which was supported by the Szeged working group of HAA was opened on 28 July 2023 by art historian Anna Váraljai, HAA scholarship recipiemt in the Cultural Center and City Gallery.

The Cantica Aeterna Choir in Finland

Scholarship recipients of HAA took part in the Helsinki Festival
 
Cantica Aeterna visited Finland between 15 and 18 August 2023. The choir performed at the Pyhä Maria Catholic Church and at the opening event of the Helsinki Festival. Their music workshop was hosted by the Liszt Institute Helsinki during the Night of the Arts (Taiteiden Yö), and their concerts features the Finnish vocal ensemble, Juvenalia and the HAA scholarship recipient and Junior Prima Award winner organist Ádám Tabajdi.

Attila Vidnyánszky spoke about the Theatre Olympics

"The 10th Theater Olympics [held between 1 April and 1 July in Budapest] was the most significant theater event in the world this year, where 7,500 representatives of 400 companies were guests in our country. We held such a large-scale, international theater event that has never been held in Hungary," Attila Vidnyánszky, director of the National Theatre, regular member of HAA told Origo. He added: "It was important that people who think differently about the world came closer to each other by speaking in one language, the language of the theater."

90th birthday of Tamás Vásáry

Tamás Vásáry, the world-famous concert pianist and conductor is celebrating his 90th birthday and on this occassion he is to give performances in Budapest from 3 September and then he is to go on a concert tour in the Far East performing in such cities as Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing. Tamás Vásáry is an Artist of the Nation and a regular member of HAA.
