László Sipos passed away
László Sipos, a Transylvanian painter and graphic artist, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic, a representative of the Cluj-Napoca school, and a regular member of HAA, passed away on 2 August at the age of seventy-nine.

Works by HAA scholarship winners to be presented at Helsinki Design Week
At the Helsinki Liszt Institute the works of nine HAA scholarship recipients, who graduated last year, are also to be on display at the industrial arts and design exhibition, which will be held between 18 August and 30 September 2022. The exhibition is connected to the international event series called Helsinki Design Week, which is to start on 1 September. Gábor Richly, Secretary-General of HAA is to give a welcome address at the opening of the exhibition, which presents a total of 90 art works in the institute. Interior designer István Szenes, the section leader of the scholarship holders, is to give visitors a guided tour on 8 September in which six of the art scholarship holders are also to participate.

The autonomy of higher education in the system of cultural rights
THE ENGLISH EDITION OF MIKLÓS KOCSIS'S BOOK HAS BEEN PUBLISHED
The book entitled Higher Education Autonomy in the System of Cultural Rights – a Hungarian Perspective by Miklós Kocsis, the late director of HAA's Research Institute of Art Theory and Methodology has been published. The publication explores the modern interpretation of the concept of higher education autonomy.

Two unique exhibitions in Zalaegerszeg
The renovated Göcsej Museum in Zalaegerszeg started the 2022 spring period with four permanent exhibitions, including an exhibition featuring the works of György Fekete, a native of the town, an interior designer, the late president of HAA, a late Artist of the Nation as well as an exhibition of ceramic artist János Németh, a regular member of HAA.
