Art historian Katalin Dávid celebrating her hundredth birthday

On 16 August Katalin Dávid, the Széchenyi Grand Prize winner, internationally renowned art historian, art writer and regular member of HAA became a centenarian. In her best-known works the epoch-making figure in the history of Christian culture in Hungary explored the world of Christian iconography and biblical symbols.

Károly Eperjes and Béla Ternovszky received lifetime achievement awards

The 10th Savaria Film Festival in Szombathely ended with the presentation of the awards, where, among other things, the film entitled Subjugated (Igában) by filmmaker Zsigmond Dezső, a regular member of HAA was awarded. Actor Károly Eperjes and cartoon director Béla Ternovszky, who are both regular members of HAA, received lifetime achievement awards at the gala.

Hungarian ceramics in Japan

At the Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu the exhibition entitled Voices in Ceramics: Contemporary Hungarian Ceramic Art is presenting with the organization by the Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest, the historical background of Hungarian contemporary ceramics, mainly from the 1980s onwards. From the masters to the emerging artists, visitors can enjoy the diverse "voices" of Hungarian ceramic art until 2 July 2023.

László Ujvárossy: Solar Hands

Between 21 April and 4 June 2023 visitors can see the exhibition entitled Solar Hands by graphic artist László Ujvárossy, who is a regular member of HAA. Exhibition is in Kunsthalle (Kunsthalle#Box), institution of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
Opening hours: Wednesday-Sunday 10:00-18:00, Thursday 12:00-20:00. Monday and Tuesday: closed.
