Art historian Katalin Dávid celebrating her hundredth birthday

On 16 August Katalin Dávid, the Széchenyi Grand Prize winner, internationally renowned art historian, art writer and regular member of HAA became a centenarian. In her best-known works the epoch-making figure in the history of Christian culture in Hungary explored the world of Christian iconography and biblical symbols.

11th Grotesque Triennial

2022. JULY 13. - AUGUST 28.
The International Grotesque Fine Arts and Applied Arts Competition and Exhibition took place for the 11th time arranged by the KaposART Fine Art and Industrial Art Association. The first exhibition venue is Kunsthalle, the institution of HAA and the display whose curator is András Vörös was opened by fine artist József Gaál, a regular member of HAA.

Cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Innovation

A special cooperation has been arranged with the Ministry of Culture and Innovation to support the programs of the Liszt Institutes. The centre of HAA, Vigadó hosted the traditional summer cultural diplomatic meeting jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on 6 July 2022. At the event the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and HAA signed a cooperation agreement on the support of Hungarian cultural diplomatic programs.

Message

A unique exhibition of the non-academic fine artist members HAA opened at Vigadó, the centre of HAA entitled Message. The display with the works of eighty artists can be seen until 28 August. The display has been organized by the Fine Arts Section of HAA. The curators are art historian Róbert Nátyi and General Assembly representative Győző Sárkány.

Support of HAA in Ukraine

HAA has organized an aiding campaign for Hungarian artists and people working in the field of art in Ukraine and Transcarpathia with the participation of the Hungarians for Hungarians Foundation.
