Hungary at the Venice Glass Week

At the Venice Glass Week on 11 September a presentation was made by Hungarian art historian and curator, András B. Szilágyi about the influence of Venetian glass on Hungarian glass art. Also on this day HAA held a professional day, where András B. Szilágyi asked glass sculptor László Lukácsi, a regular member of HAA, as well as three artists with HAA scholarships, Daniella Koós, Balázs Sipos and Balázs Telegdi about their career and the conditions for staying in the career during a round table discussion on contemporary glass art.

Rameau's opera Les Boréades at Müpa Budapest

The music-loving public can enjoy an exceptional production: with the participation of international stars, the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra (on period instruments) Les Boréades, the last five-act lyrical tragedy by Jean-Philippe Rameau, born 340 years ago, is to be performed at Müpa Budapest at 7 pm on 21 September. The concert is to be conducted by the prominent early music expert, Franz Liszt Award winner conductor, György Vashegyi, president of HAA. World star singers such as Sabine Devieilhe, Reinoud Van Mechelen, Benedikt Kristjánsson or Thomas Dolié were won over for the large-scale production.
