Vice-President Miklós Marosi passed away
Miklós Marosi, a Széchenyi Award winning architect passed away in the 79th year of his life. He was an outstanding figure of Hungarian public building design, a key personality in Hungarian architectural public life as well as the Vice-President of HAA.
Two new churches of Imre Makovecz in Budapest
Imre Makovecz, one of the most prominent exponents of organic architecture and the Eternal Honorary President of HAA passed away ten years ago and on this occasion the Imre Makovecz Foundation arranged a large-scale travelling exhibition, which was presented on 27 September at Vigadó Square. The display can be seen for a month, then it's going to travel to the provinces.
Whose hell is Dante's hell?
The world commemorates the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, the "Sommo Poeta", the greatest poet, as he has been held in Italy for centuries. In 2021 Collegium Hungaricum in Rome dedicated two programs to the topic, both of which won the support of the Dante Commission in Italy, both of which became part of the official, national series of events.
Ferenc Török passed away
Ferenc Török, an outstanding architect with the Kossuth State Award and an Artist of the Nation as well as a regular member of HAA passed away on 10 September 2021, aged 84. The diverse life work of Ferenc Török is marked by a great number of Hungarian public buildings, residential buildings, monumental reconstructions and works of ecclesiastical art.
