Celebration of Éva Marton with superstars

The world-famous dramatic soprano and chair of MMA Section of Theatre Arts Éva Marton's 70th birthday was celebrated in a gala concert in the Opera House in Budapest with such superstars as Jonas Kaufmann and Grace Bumbry on 16 June.

Hungarian fashion design in Milan

Comtemporary Hungarian fashion designers, including MMA members, presented their work in an exhibition entitled Pentaton in Palazzo Morando, the fashion history museum of Milan. The exhibition is set in the frame of the Hungarian-Italian cultural season.

The Book Week is the central and most respected book festival in Hungary and is especially significant for it was first organized eighty-four years ago and since then it is held annually showing that in Hungary written culture is a crucial value that should be cared for in this overwhelmingly materialistic age of ours.

A new translation of Sándor Kányádi's poetry

A new translation of a selection of one of the greatest living Hungarian poets and MMA member, Sándor Kányádi's poetry was published with the title In Contemporary Tense by Irodalmi Jelen publishing house in Arad, Rumania.
