State awards on the occasion of National Day
20th August is St. Stephen's Day in Hungary and we celebrate the foundation of the Hungarian state more than 1000 years ago.
Paintings, sculptures, gobelins and computer graphics made about sacred themes of nine acclaimed artists can be seen on an exhibition which opened on 10 September in the Watertown Gallery in Budapest as part of the Ars Sacra Festival.
Masters of the future
"The Zugló Philharmonics is obviously the best Hungarian youth orchestra. Listening to them we hardly believe that young musicians are playing", writes the German daily, Der Tagesspiegel on its website after the Berlin concert of the orchestra led by Kálmán Záborszky. We asked the conductor about the experiences of the Zugló Philharmonics in Berlin.
