Hungarian exhibition series in India
In the course of the UNESCO declared international year of the Hungarian-born Indian painter Amrita Sher-Gil, an artist who created a link between European and Asian culture a three part exhibition series has been launched with the aim of presenting the works of contemporary Hungarian fine artists.
Aknay and the Icon
In every September there is a programme of the fine arts called Ars Sacra Festival, and 18 October is the Day of Hungarian Painting. On the occasion of these a lovely, bilingual (Hungarian/English) book has been come out about the paintings of MMA member János Aknay.
House of the Year Award 2013
This year the prestigious award, the House of the Year for the best house among family houses and smaller buildings went to the work of Tamás Dévényi, a house located in Sóskút near Budapest.
60th Vásárhely Autumn Exhibition
Painter Márta Czene has been given the highest award at the opening of the 60th Vásárhely Autumn Exhibition in Hódmezővásárhely, where Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also gave a speech. The prestigious award was handed over to the artist by the Prime Minister himself and the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely István Almási.
