Imre Benkő's subjective documentarism

The exhibition entitled True Visions in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle), the institution of HAA is presenting six decades of art work of photographer, photojournalist and regular member of HAA, Imre Benkő through two hundred and fifty, mostly black-and-white photographs. The exhibition, curated by Zsuzsanna Tulipán, can be viewed between 23 February and 7 April.

Hungarian musicians among the artists who performed the most in 2016

According to the Bachtrack British classical event finder website's statistics, seven Hungarian musicians were among the artists who performed the most in 2016. Moreover, the Hungarian State Opera became the world's busiest opera house with 305 performances, overtaking even the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg.

From Graphics to Box Pictures

An exhibition of Péter Prutkay, graphic artist and member of MMA celebrating his 70th birthday on 24 March this year has opened in Vigadó Gallery in the centre of MMA. At the opening ceremony on 19 January György Fekete, President of MMA made a welcoming speech and the exhibition was opened by art historian Márton Keppel. Open to 12 March.

Exhibition of Péter Stefanovits in Műcsarnok

A special exhibition of the works of graphic artist Péter Stefanovits, a regular member of MMA has opened in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle), the institution of MMA. The display entitled Heart Murmur can be seen from 18 January until 19 February. The curator is József Szurcsik.

Inauguration of the Hild villa

On 20 December 2016 the inaugural ceremony of the Hild villa after complete reconstruction took place. The Hild villa is going to function as the building of MMA's Research Institute for Art Theory and Methodology (MMKI). At the inauguration ceremony György Fekete, president of MMA handed over the symbolic key of the Hild villa to Miklós Kocsis, director of MMKI.
