Imre Makovecz's lifework in Moscow
A lifework exhibition of world-famous Hungarian architect, Imre Makovecz, founder and eternal honorary president of MMA has been opened in the Schusev State Museum of Architecture in Moscow with the title "Connecting the Sky with the Earth" and organized by the Hungarian Embassy in Moscow as well as MMA. The grand-scale display can be seen until 8 November.
Legendary films on 1956 restored
The Hungarian Filmlab together with Focus Fox Studio have performed the digital restoration of five outstanding Hungarian films on the revolution in 1956. The restoration project was supported by MMA and was carried out under the professional supervision of the Hungarian National Digital Archive and Film Institute (MaNDA).
Architecture and creed - exhibition of Ferenc Török
A lifework exhibition of architect Ferenc Török, an artist of the Nation and member of MMA has opened in Vigadó and can be seen until 25 September. Besides an outstanding architect and university teacher, his speciality is designing church buildings. He has designed more than ten of them.
Sándor Csoóri, one of the greatest Hungarian poets died
Sándor Csoóri, the iconic poet, writer and political activist passed away after a long illness in his 87th year of age on 12 September 2016. He was a double winner of Kossuth State Award, an Artist of the Nation and a winner of Grand Award of MMA.
