Imre Benkő's subjective documentarism

The exhibition entitled True Visions in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle), the institution of HAA is presenting six decades of art work of photographer, photojournalist and regular member of HAA, Imre Benkő through two hundred and fifty, mostly black-and-white photographs. The exhibition, curated by Zsuzsanna Tulipán, can be viewed between 23 February and 7 April.

The 7th International Triennial of Textile Arts

The 7th International Triennial of Textile Arts between 18 June 2021 and 28 of August 2021 have been arranged by the Cultural Foundation for the Textile Arts and the Savaria MHV Museum Group at the Art Gallery of Szombathely. The call for entry was open for artists, designers, art association members, students of fine art and design academies from all over the world. The organizers invited artists to submit projects that explore themes, concepts, life situations and phenomena linked to the theme of the flow.

The Schrammel collection opened in Szombathely

The permanent exhibition of the Artist of the Nation, ceramic artist Imre Schrammel opened on 26 June in Szombathely. In 2019 Imre Schrammel donated his selected oeuvre to his hometown, the pieces of which, as well as works deposited from the Herend Porcelain Museum, show a total of 115 works in the newly renovated downtown building, the Eve Mill.

Marcell Jankovics showed us what we were fighting for

Marcell Jankovics's mission was "to show us what we are fighting for, what we have to protect and to show us how we can still remain human in the toughest battles", Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at the funeral of the acclaimed animation film director and illustrator, in the Budapest Farkasret cemetery on Tuesday. Jankovics, honorary president of the Hungarian Academy of the Arts (MMA) and an artist of the nation, died on May 29, aged 79.

HAA's display in Székesfehérvár

As a prelude to the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress, which was postponed from last year to September this year, the Fine Arts Sectuon of HAArt has made a special open-air exhibition in Székesfehérvár. The exhibitors have made storm-proof installations featuring graphics, sculptures, digital works, and details of paintings that carry the message of the Catholic World Meeting.
