
Thirty-four visiting cards
An extraordinary exhibition opened in Esztergom, where MMA's section of applied art and design introduced itself.
After the welcoming words of György Fekete MMA president and interior designer, Balázs Feledy art publicist opened the group display. The host of the event was László Meszleny. The exhibition is seen as a precursor of a large-scale applied art exhibition entitled National Salon to be organized in Műcsarnok in two years.
In three rooms the MMA section consisting of several special fields is giving an exciting big picture including the art of tapestry, textile, porcelain, ceramics, glass, interior design, furniture design, industrial design, leather and metal work, goldsmith's work, graphic design, typography. The thirty-four exhibitors has left their visiting cards from which one can get to know their short biographies (masters, main awards), their artistic creeds and their most important works.
The designer of the exhibition is interior designer István Szenes, its graphic designers are graphic artists Ernő Sára and László Tóth.
The exhibition can be seen until 9 November on the second floor of the Saint Adalbert Centre (10 Szent István Square, Esztergom, 2500).
