Károly Eperjes and Béla Ternovszky received lifetime achievement awards
The 10th Savaria Film Festival in Szombathely ended with the presentation of the awards, where, among other things, the film entitled Subjugated (Igában) by filmmaker Zsigmond Dezső, a regular member of HAA was awarded. Actor Károly Eperjes and cartoon director Béla Ternovszky, who are both regular members of HAA, received lifetime achievement awards at the gala.
The festival, which took place from 10 till 12 May, was supported by the HAA again this year, and the jury included filmmaker Ferenc András, a regular member of HAA, and Tamás Gergely Kucsera, a university professor, art writer, philosopher, intellectual historian, corresponding member of HAA.
Artists from all over the Carpathian Basin submitted 124 films to the festival this year. Artists could enter the festival in three themes - visual arts, music and ethnography-folk art-history - and with the support of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) student films presenting the world of the Internet were also awarded.
