The section of film and photography seeks to be the workshop of creativity. Its members wish to assist artistic endeavours, film making and promotion and want to enhance the institutional and conceptual conditions for photographic efforts as well. By revealing the falsifications of history and film history, we want to take special care of common knowledge of the past as far as future generations are concerned. Besides, we want to assist the organic and valid presence of critical work in contemporary art. For us, art is not solely self-therapy and not an end in itself, but the cathartic exposure of hidden and less hidden relationships of existence, the struggle, fallibility, triumph and failure of believing and doubting man, the analytic picture of the dilemmas between existential possibilities. — István Dárday
