
Public body awards of HAA bestowed
At the general assembly of HHA held on 30 May 2018 the yearly public body awards of HAA were bestowed on persons who - according to the membership of HAA - did outstanding work in the field of art or of cultural organisation.

Agreement with National Association of Large Families
MMA and the National Association of Large Families (NOE) made a cooperational agreement in Vigadó, the centre of MMA concerning preferential admission to the events of its institutions, Vigadó and Kunsthalle for members of NOE. 2018 is the year of families and this agreement is also going to contribute to this special year. The agreement was signed by President of MMA, György Vashegyi, Secretary-General of MMA, Tamás Gergely Kucsea as well as President of Noe, Katalin Gyurkó Kardosné.

Cultural relationship with the American Hungarian diaspora
Delegation of the Hungarian Academy of Arts with the leadership of Gergely Tamás Kucsera, Secretary-General of MMA travelled to Los Angeles on 11 November 2017 for the 17th Los Angeles Hungarian Film Festival, meeting festival director Béla Bunyik's invitation. Actor Gábor Reviczky received the lifetime achievement award, who is a regular member of MMA. The visit was an opportunity to present MMA among the Hungarian diaspora. Tamás Kollarik and other representatives of the Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) also travelled to the festival.

Macedonian-Hungarian art cooperation
On 19 October 2017 a cooperation agreement was signed between the President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, prof. em. György Fekete and Taki Fiti, President of the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art (MANU) in Skopje. György Fekete and Zsuzsanna Répás, Head of the Department of International and Across the Border Affairs of the MMA Secretariat met the local Hungarian organization, the members of the Macedonian Hungarians' Full House Organization after the event.

Saudi Arabian-Hungarian relationships
President of MMA, György Fekete and Secretary-General of MMA, Tamás Gergely Kucsera reveived Sultan Al Bazie, President of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA) and Jana Yamani, President and General Manager of Outar International. At the meeting they talked about artistic and cultural relationships as well as about the successful concert of pianist Gergely Bogányi, member of MMA is Saudi Arabia. Also present were Anikó Herter, Deputy Secretary of State for Cultural Relationships and Developments of the Ministry of Human Recources and Zsuzsanna Répás, Head of Department of Over The Border Issues of MMA as well as pianist Gergely Bogányi.
