Saudi Arabian-Hungarian relationships

President of MMA, György Fekete and Secretary-General of MMA, Tamás Gergely Kucsera reveived Sultan Al Bazie, President of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA) and Jana Yamani, President and General Manager of Outar International. At the meeting they talked about artistic and cultural relationships as well as about the successful concert of pianist Gergely Bogányi, member of MMA is Saudi Arabia. Also present were Anikó Herter, Deputy Secretary of State for Cultural Relationships and Developments of the Ministry of Human Recources and Zsuzsanna Répás, Head of Department of Over The Border Issues of MMA as well as pianist Gergely Bogányi.

The negotiating partners expressed appreciation for each other's cultural and artistic values and they claimed the support of young talents a matter of utmost importance. György Fekete stressed that Vigadó is a symbolic venue where all branches of art are represented and said that this feature was similar to the Arabic mentality in which branches of art were not separated completely. The President handed a supportive letter over to Sultan Al Bazie, in which he expressed his support concerning the development of Saudi Arabian-Hungarian cultural relationships, with special regard to the efforts of SASCA, namely, the preservation and development of Saudi Arabian traditions of culture and art as well as the reinforcement of international cultural relationships. SASCA, founded in 1972, sponsors Saudi artists and provides ways for new talents to develop and display their art. The society has established a library and information center, as well as the first cultural center of the Kingdom, located in Riyadh.
MMA is ready to give large-scale support to SASCA concerning the development of cultural relationships and cooperation between Hungary and Saudi Arabia and MMA is open for making a cooperation agreement between the two countries.
On 18 April in Riyadh and then on 21 April in King Abdullah Economic City special concerts took place by Gergely Bogányi, where he played on his unique piano with audiences numbering five hundred people each. During the trip Gergely Bogányi and Sultan Al-Bazai signed a cooperation agreement, which can contribute to future project of Saudi students studying classical music in Budapest.
