Macedonian-Hungarian art cooperation

On 19 October 2017 a cooperation agreement was signed between the President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, prof. em. György Fekete and Taki Fiti, President of the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art (MANU) in Skopje. György Fekete and Zsuzsanna Répás, Head of the Department of International and Across the Border Affairs of the MMA Secretariat met the local Hungarian organization, the members of the Macedonian Hungarians' Full House Organization after the event.
Bilateral relations were made in the spring of 2014 when the delegation of the Hungarian Academy of Arts visited the Macedonian capital, Skopje. Then dr. Tamás Gergely Kucsera, Secretary General of MMA and Ágnes Komlóssy international coordinator participated as honorary guests at the opening of the Hungarian exhibition presented at the centre of the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art and the secretary General made a speech as well at the event. The Secretary-General also negotiated with Ljupcso Kocsarev, Vice-President MANU. The delegation then traveled to the Western Balkans to talk about the expansion of the possibilities of the Hungarian-Macedonian cultural relations and to prepare a long-term professional agreement on cooperation between the two academies.
On 23 October György Fekete, President of MMA gave a ceremonial talk in Skopje commemorating the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
