The Hungarian Academy of Art is presenting itself with a grand-scale exhibition in Beijing at the Today Art Museum. The display, which consists of works of fine, applied, design and folk arts is lasting from 14 May until 10 June 2018. A year ago we received the painting and calligraphy exhibition of our brother institution, the Chinese National Academy of (CNAA) at Vigadó, the centre of HAA. Fulfilling the invitation of the Chinese partner, the Hungarian art scene can be seen in the well-known contemporary exhibition venure of the capital, and the exhibition of HAA is a selection of major works of recent years.
Animation film Háry János has been digitally renewed
MMA and MTVA (Media Services and Support Trust Fund) in a joint project had the famous animation film Háry János based on the folk opera of Zoltán Kodály and directed by Zsolt Richly in 1983 digitally renewed and the premiere was on 11 December 2017 at Vigadó, the cente of MMA.
Exhibition by Éva Penkala and József Scherer
An exhibition of textile artist Éva Penkala and designer and József Scherer, regular member of MMA was opened in Vigado Gallery on 5 December 2017 and can be seen until 22 January 2018.
Lifework exhibition of Győző Szatyor
A lifework exhibition of 70-year-old graphic artist, painter, wood sculptor and regular member of MMA, Győző Szatyor can be seen in Vigadó Gallery from 2 December 2017 until 22 January 2018.
One-Time - joint exhibitions in Kunsthalle
Joint exhibitions can be seen in Kunsthalle, the institution of MMA commemorating the oeuvres of János Blaskó, Jenő Gadányi, Miklós Jakobovits, Gábor Karátson as well as Gyula Bocz, Iván Cerovszki, Sándor Csutoros, Győző Dombay, Elek Lisziák, Károly Ócsai and Béla Szeift. The exhibitions which bear the title One-Time - Separate Ways and Withdrawal at a Time of Consolidation can be seen from 6 December 2017 until 28 January 2018.
