Paintings, sculptures, gobelins and computer graphics made about sacred themes of nine acclaimed artists can be seen on an exhibition which opened on 10 September in the Watertown Gallery in Budapest as part of the Ars Sacra Festival.

MMA regrets to announce the death of the outstanding folk musician Béla Halmos, who was at the forefront of Hungarian folk music research and collection for four decades. He passed away on 18 July unexpectedly.
Talking about silencing
The Hungarian Writers' Union organized the 41st Writers' Conference in Tokaj from 14 till 16 of August. The main theme of the whole discussion was long years of muzzling from 1965 to 1989, when the political and economic change occured in Hungary. Among other institutions the event was supported by MMA.
