Exhibition of award winners of the HAA's Section of Fine Arts
The chamber exhibition at Vigadó, which can be seen until 15 November, is presenting works by the following artists, who were granted scholarships in the years 2020-2021 by HAA's Section of Fine Arts: fine artists Péter Márkus, Csaba Sánta, László Szotyory and Béla Szepessy as well as recipients of the Academy of Arts' lifework award fine artist Erzsébet Mezei and arts writer Tihamér Novotny. Also on display are works by the recipients of the 2020 Award of the Hungarian Academy of Arts' Section of Fine Arts, Tibor Kolozsi and Ákos Muzsnay.
Exhibition of Attila Kondor in Rome
On 8 September at Palazzo Falconieri, the Collegium Hungaricum the opening of the exhibition entitled The Paths of Attention by Hungarian artist Attila Kondor, born in 1974, former scholar of the Hungarian Academy in Rome, took place. The vernissage was attended by Gábor Kudar, director of the Hungarian Academy in Rome and Miklós Sulyok, curator of the exhibition.
Works by HAA scholarship winners presented in Helsinki
The works of nine HAA scholarship recipients, who graduated last year, can be seen at the Liszt Institute in Helsinki from 18 August until 30 September. The exhibition is connected to the international event series called Helsinki Design Week, which started on 1 September. Gábor Richly, Secretary-General of HAA gave a welcome address at the opening of the exhibition, which is presenting a total of 90 art works in the institute.
László Sipos passed away
László Sipos, a Transylvanian painter and graphic artist, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic, a representative of the Cluj-Napoca school, and a regular member of HAA, passed away on 2 August at the age of seventy-nine.
