Imre Benkő's subjective documentarism

The exhibition entitled True Visions in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle), the institution of HAA is presenting six decades of art work of photographer, photojournalist and regular member of HAA, Imre Benkő through two hundred and fifty, mostly black-and-white photographs. The exhibition, curated by Zsuzsanna Tulipán, can be viewed between 23 February and 7 April.

Contemporary Hungarian ceramics in Ljubljana

Further cooperation is planned
 
On 24 January the Liszt Institute in Ljubljana and HAA jointly organized the finissage of the exhibition entitled Common Tongue – Contemporary Hungarian ceramics in Ljubljana. At the exhibition visitors could see the contemporary ceramic works of scholarship recipients of HAA.

Éva Marton Opera Studio

This year marks the 140th anniversary of the opening of the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest and one of the most important projects of the Opera House is the launching of the Éva Marton Opera Studio from September 2024, which means that the education of young opera singers is to come into focus, and the institution is counting on the partnership of the Liszt Academy as well.

József Finta passed away

Architect József Finta, who has been given the Kossuth, the Ybl Miklós, the Steindl Imre and Prima Primissima awards, and who was a regular member of HAA as well as of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, passed away aged 89 on 7 January.

György Ferdinandy passed away

György Ferdinandy, writer, literary historian, critic, university professor, regular member of HAA passed away in Miami on 7 January at the age of 89.
