Imre Benkő's subjective documentarism

The exhibition entitled True Visions in Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle), the institution of HAA is presenting six decades of art work of photographer, photojournalist and regular member of HAA, Imre Benkő through two hundred and fifty, mostly black-and-white photographs. The exhibition, curated by Zsuzsanna Tulipán, can be viewed between 23 February and 7 April.

The Core of Budakalász

An architectural exhibition entitled The Core of Budakalász opened at the Kós Károly Community Centre and Library in Budakalász on 21 January 2019. The displayed works are the best ones sent in for an architectural competition organized by HAA. As many as 27 works took part in the competition.

Imre Makovecz and the nomadic generation

A series of discussions conducted by "sound architect" Ferenc Kiss started in February is taking place five times every month and is ending in June at the Makovecz Centre and Archives (2 Városkúti Street, Budapest, 1125). The program has been organized by the Imre Makovecz Foundation.

Mark of excellence for Hungarian architects

The Museum of Ethnography in Városliget (City Park) of Budapest has been chosen to be „Best Public Service Architecture" in Europe by the judging panel of the International Property Awards. Architects Marcel Ferencz – a regular member of HAA - and György Détári take pride in the project's striking design, shaped like a skateboard ramp and intended to give visitors ample space both indoors and outdoors.

Passion of Csíksomlyó

The Publishing House of HAA launched its new book on the theatrical play entitled Passion of Csíksomlyó directed by Attila Vidnyánszky, the director of the National Theatre in Budapest. At the book launch Attila Vidnyánszky said that this performance at its summer premiere outdoors in Transylvania on 18 August 2018 was one of his most elevating experiences ever.
